across the universe.

As many of you know I am obsessed with the stars.
For as long as I can remember I have been in love with the universe.

Growing up Pluto was my favorite planet and the day they decided
it was no longer part of the lineup was quite the day for me.

I remember turning off my lights and turning my star theater
on as I listened to the cassette tape teach me about the constellations.
Yes a cassette tape in my boom box.
I can't tell you how many times I listened to that tape.
This is where my love for the stars began.

After this me and my sister were inspired
For our birthdays we got a telescope
that we loved more than anything.
We spent endless summer nights on our back patio
with Riley (our beautiful dog.. miss you riles)
looking at the planets,
the meteor showers, the moon, and of course the stars.

and of course the snow never stopped us.
PJs, snow boots, and our telescope were all we needed to connect with the universe.

To this day the night sky amazes me.
Running through meteor showers ..
longboarding while wishing upon the stars ...
watching the Moon slowly rise above the horizon until the
moonlight shines perfectly onto the black ocean..
definitely some of my highest highs.

I believe that there is a star that shines
for each and every one of us.
If you doubt this then just look up in the sky at night
because the stars and the moon never fail to heal.
So if you need a little lovin' just look to the sky and realize there is a star just for you.

Just before Thoreau died,
he was asked if he had made peace with God.
He replied, “I was not aware we had ever quarreled”
