Sounds of Silence

I came across these different clips of writing my dad did.

He is one hell of a writer and I am just discovering that.

A time to keep silent,

a time to speak,

a time to learn,

a time to seek;

For our time is at hand,

and searching, we are,

Through the Sounds of Silence.

Silence is the substance of things hoped for, 

The evidence of things that are not seen. 

To every thing there is silence,

and a purpose for all reticence--

So we enter into our own

Sounds of Silence

Living silence of the heart

Is reflected in the soul of reverence

Living on completely as a part

Within the sounds of silence.

Faces are but a gallery of pictures 

Until the realm of silence is broken.

Talk is nothing but a useless symbol 

Until a meaningful work is spoken.

As silhouettes bearing little distinction,

we struggled upon nebulous shadows

Seeking answers of what to believe 

or what not to believe

As with the rising of the sun

the silhouettes have acquired features

Blossoming into individuality

through the Sounds of Silence.

A tender experience today,

awakens a cherished memory tomorrow. 

Laughing, talking, singing or

dreaming, all are reflections in the Sounds of Silence.

What has been is what will be,

and what has been done is what will be done;

Regret not your past

for it will only shape your future. 

Keep faith in all you do,

and you will possess everlasting hope

Within the Sounds of Silence. 

Pretty good eh? 

Inspired me to say the least.

It amazes me how many times I can go to the same places on this island again and again and still be amazed.
